Job description
Looking to join a team whose mission is helping vulnerable kids get to school each day? We’re looking for someone hyper-organized and interested in developing a new, critical coordinator role in our organization. Located on the North end of Columbus, Tristar is a leading transportation company for special needs students and adults requiring accessible transportation.
This new position is responsible for providing support to operations staff, drivers, and vehicle service center personnel. This job requires strong skills in phone etiquette, web-based applications, multi-tasking, customer service, and organization. This is an operations support position and requires the individual to act as a team player and assist wherever help is needed. This position will report directly to the Office Operations Manager.

Education requirements
• High school diploma
Experience requirements
● HS Diploma plus 7+ years working in a fast-paced environment. Service industry or transportation industry a plus
● Advance computer skills with Office, Google Suite and other web-based tools
● Strong problem-solving skills a must
● Ability to multitask and enjoy working in an open, friendly work environment
● Must be able to pass all state requirements to become a certified driver
Qualifications
● Must be process-oriented.
Responsibilities
Early/AM Customer Service:
● Coordinate with drivers for early vehicle maintenance issues
● Handle overflow inbound calls promptly and effectively from parents, drivers, school personnel.
● Provide backup to Customer Service Specialist with assessing early morning situations that may arise.

Operations and Service Center Liaison:
● Critical role to improve the cross-functional relationship across Service Center and Office Operations staff
● Car maintenance appointments and scheduling
● Maintain car request and changes documentation
● Identify new, improved ways for Service Center to track and organize the fleet.

Operations Support/Administrative:
● Greet and assist walk-in customers, drivers, service personnel, deliveries, and potential employees - Be the “face of Tristar”
● Issue and maintain new hire kits, orientation packets, and company property
● Maintain ongoing and create new projects using latest Google products
● Maintenance records keeping - creating and implementing electronic tracking system
Skills
● Technically savvy
● Proficient in spreadsheets, Google Suite/Microsoft Office,etc.
● Self-starter, ability to independently work on projects and take initiative in areas that require process improvement.
● Friendly, strong customer service attitude
● Works well across all departments
● Process/rule oriented
● Ability to cross function across departments and be able and willing to assist at various duties as business demands
Work hours
Monday-Friday - Start at 6am
